You have a branch at Technicolor, does this mean you are owned by them?
No. PNC is an independent company. We opened our third branch at Technicolor as producers on feature films often do not want their negatives to leave the laboratory for safety reasons. Therefore a negative cutting service was required in order to cut the films "in house".

You can sync to Betacam SP, can you sync to any other video formats?
At present we only have Betacam SP machines installed in our sound synching suites. However dependant on the requirements it may be possible to hire Digital Betacam, D1 etc. if Betacam SP dubbs of the one lights do not exist.

Do you also offer dubbing / commentary recording services?
No. We do offer a sound transfer service but not dubbing, commentary recording, tracklaying etc.

Can you cut 8mm film?
Yes. We can cut 8mm but this is a service that we are only able to provide during our less busy moments. Please call for prices and availability details.

Do you also process negative?
No. We would recommend that you contact Technicolor for a quotation.

Do you offer a telecine service?
Although we do not offer a telecine service we can arrange for this to be done at any of the various Soho facility houses.

Do you offer a film storage service?
Yes we do, however as storage space is relatively limited we do try to reserve this space for the productions we have cut at any of our three branches.

Do you only accept EDL's in CMX 3600 format?
No. Although we prefer a CMX 3600 we can also accept CMX 340 on DOS or any of the following can be read: Any CMX language, G.V.G RT II, G.V.G/CMX formatted discs. Final EDL discs are also available in the above languages and formats as well as Sony 9000 and Sony 9100.

Do you offer discounts for contract work?
Yes we can. However the rate of the discount is dependent on the services you require and of the frequency and volume of the work you wish to use us for. Please call for further details.

Do you dry hire your Sadie suites?
We can, but this is not something we actively pursue and we are only able to provide this service during our less busy moments and are only able to do so on a daily basis. Block bookings are occasionally possible but can't be guaranteed.
